MySpace Wins Largest Anti-Spam Award

It probably won’t do much to ease the steady flow of junk e-mail to our inbox, but MySpace has just laid claim to the largest ever judgment against spammers.

After two of the Internet’s most prominent spam defendants, Sanford Wallace and Walter Rines, failed to show up in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles, a judge awarded a default judgment of $234 million. Wallace, known to some as the Read more

MySpace sues Scott Richter

Spamming used to be one of the most delicate problems with MySpace few days back because the security system was not really full proof which they claim to have repaired by now. But there was a time when the spammers like Scott Richter used to send more than 100 millions of spam messages to the MySpace users everyday. After the users started complaining against this MySpace sued this person in the year of 2007. Now he has to pay about 4.9 millions for the damages and another 1.2 millions for the legal expenses. This is surely a lesson for the others who are into spamming business.

MySpace Starter’s Guide by HarleyJane

Setting up and tuning a MySpace Profile is kinda easy for me now but I admit that the first time I used MySpace, I struggled to understand how the whole thing works. But as time goes by I got better and better :)

I just came a cross a very interesting article titled The Ultimate MySpace Starter’s Guide by HarleyJane at Jeff-Flowers.com. Newbies will certainly find the article very useful. Here are the topics covered in the article:

  1. Setting Up Your MySpace Profile
  2. Embedding Video On Your MySpace Profile
  3. Adding Music to Your MySpace Profile
  4. Adding Pictures to Your MySpace Profile

I actually had drafted a similar article and plan to publish it somewhere around next week but it seems they managed to publish their article earlier :)

MySpace Launching Contest On “High School Musical”

MySpace will be launching a great contest for the users related to the recent Walt Disney production “High School Musical 3″. This is going to be a great way to promote the film because the number of users on MySpace is near about 76 millions which include about 40% women and mothers from United States itself. Hence this is going to give the makers of this movie a huge platform to promote their film. This is also a great venture for MySpace as one of the best companies is looking for their assistance in order to get close to their worldwide audience.
