It's been about 5 months since I created/launched this blog and there have been a lot of articles that were posted. Some posts recevied hundreds of hits per day and some posts received very few hits.

DIRECTORY Project Scratched!

A few weeks ago I decided to make an all-in-one link directory but I have finally decided to scratch that idea. Why? Simply because there are a lot of similar directories that are already well maintained and established and also I don't really have enough time to continue with the project.

Despite that, I'll continue to keep this blog alive and updated with the latest MySpace News

Emergency Server Move

My web host's technical team informed me that an urgent data transfer maintenance is going to be carried on January 27th, 2008, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM GMT and there will be a downtime of about 2 hours for all web hosting services.

Over the past few weeks, the current server has been experience some hardware problems and suffers from occasional timeouts. After many complaints from me and other users, they have decided to move this site to another server that has better hardware parameters.

I hope after the server move, the new server won't be experiencing any major glitches.

Why So Many "Uncategorized" Posts Lately?

Some of you might ask why recently there have been so many posts under "Uncategorized" and why some posts are irrelevant to the main theme of Central MySpace Source.

To tell you the truth, those Uncategorized posts help Central MySpace Source pay the web hosting fee and the domain name fee. In today's world it's almost impossible to find something free that has no strings attached.

One thing I can assure everyone is that Central MySpace Source will continue to bring important and current news about MySpace and also share some tricks as well Central MySpace Source, will continue to be a free site for the good of MySpace

MySpace Profile Editor Beta Testing

I have successfully installed a MySpace Profile editor script. The script is old and some functions don't work anymore so I and a few others (volunteers) are going to make a few changes and will also thoroughly test the script for any potential bug or security issue.

Other than the MySpace Profile Editor script, I will be installing a MySpace Layout Stealer/Copier script. It's main function is to copy layout codes from anyone's MySpace Profile and use it at your own MySpace Profile

Popularity Contest Plugin Installed

As a blogger it is important to know which posts/pages that are popular and are frequently visited. Checking my Awstats log daily was just too much of a hassle and I've decided to install the Popularity Contest plugin.

Just after a few hours, I can see that the most popular post on Central MySpace Source is THIS POST with 100% popularity! And based on the Wordpress Stats plugin, the hyperlink with the highest number of clicks is MySpacePrivateProfile.com. And I bet the owner of the site is VERY happy

I know I've not been posting any interesting MySpace News lately and the truth is that there is no interesting MySpace news to post.

Central MySpace Source DIRECTORY

Before this, I would use the Wordpress Blogroll function to organize links to various myspace sites and resources.

Recently, I've found a Wordpress directory plugin that allows me to manage links better and allows you to submit your links hassle-free.

Need Help on Our MySpace Profile Editor Development

A few days ago I posted about the decision to integrate a myspace profile editor to this blog. I have just taken an open source script and I need help on re-developing the script.

The script has not been updated for a few months and some codes are not working properly and I need someone who has advanced knowledge of myspace css codes to help fix the script. I am willing to pay someone $200 to fix the script and maintain it for at least 3 months (to make sure there are no holes).

Our Own MySpace Profile Editor

Server Move Completed :)

The site has been succesfully moved to a new server I should have posted this earlier but I was too tired after transferring and re-configuring everything to suit the new server.

Apart from moving to a new server…I have also upgraded the bandwidth, space and the CPU Limit. I have removed several plugins such as Firestats because it was too heavy on the server.

I hope there won't be anymore unscheduled downtimes in the near future
