MySpace Flaw Leaks Private Teen Photos
There is no doubt that MySpace dominates the social networking industry and there are also the most popular in the industry…..popular for the weakest security.
Recently, a backdoor exploit in MySpace allows anyone to have access of photos/pictures in profiles that are set to private. MySpace has been assuring it’s members that only those who are authorized are allowed to access the private photos but it seems that every time they close a backdoor, another one comes up. It has been going on for months (since last year).
The latest backdoor exploit news has been rapidly circulating on their message boards and a massive 17 GigaByte (GB) file that contains more than 500 thousand private images has been circulating in BitTorrent and Warez Forum…making this the biggest security breach ever!
There are several articles mentioning this exploits/breaches:

Read up those articles for more details and here’s a word of advice:
Don’t put photos that you don’t want other people to see on MySpace or any other Social Networking site…even if you plan to set your profile to private that does not mean you’re safe!

Operation MySpays – Phished Accounts INDEXED!
Last month, I wrote about Operation MySpays Exposed and today I’m writing about Phished Accounts by Operation MySpays.
For those who don’t know about Operation MySpays, well in short it is the widest and most successful (in a bad way) phishing project ever done to a social networking site, MySpace.com.
Today, while I was making a few research about operation myspays, I found several sites and URLs that are publicly revealing phished myspace accounts passwords. A quick search at Google for the term “operation myspays” can lead you to the sites.
Some of the data are packed in an archive and are freely available for download at MediaFire (and the download link is still live!). There is also a site which has indexed almost 5 THOUSAND PHISHED MYSPACE ACCOUNTS. And all these are publicly and freely available. A lot of people already know about Operation MySpays and it’s a surprise that Google is not de-indexing and banning sites that publicly gives phished accounts data.
As I’m writing this post I’m also in the process of contacting Google to remove those websites from their index.

WARNING: Some Have MySpace Profiles Without Knowing It!
Beware! Your private pictures might have been stolen and used without your permission by an online imposter on MySpace!
Well, the exact thing happened to an unfortunate girl named Katie from North Texas.
It only takes a few clicks for someone to steal a person’s photos and this means that anyone who has an internet access can become your imposter.
Katie said that she never thought that such things will happen to an average and normal girl like her. But she was very wrong. She found out about the imposter when one of here friend calls here saying that she had found a stranger who has a MySpace profile which contains Katie’s private and personal photos.
When the matter was reported to MySpace, they immediately shut down the bogus. MySpace officials admit that Katie’s issue is not an isolated incident and recommends everyone making their profile private so only those who are allowed can access the profile.
Well, that’s 1 case solved. Another 126 million to go…………………………….
