This is the most dangerous yet the most important fact that has raided the minds of the parents after the introduction of internet and sites like MySpace. Kids have easy accessibility to these sites but as they are vulnerable to internet abuses they should be monitored regularly by the parents but precaution must be taken by the parents that the kids do not feel that they are being watched or being spied upon.

Parents should use the fear psychology by relating instances where kids had fallen in trouble by believing in internet predators. They should frankly talk with their teenage kids about the sites they visit and try to find out about their friends on the internet. There are sites which provide the facility to the parents by providing the technique of finding out the password of their Child’s MySpace account. This way they can protect their kids from MySpace dangers.

Let’s face it, MySpace can be a very addictive web page to get stuck in. This hot social networking site is wildly popular among teens and adults alike but like all things good, there are crooks out there who want to target innocent MySpace users and scam them.

One of the most common ways is to send MySpace messages under the guise of mails sent by the people at eBay or Paypal. These mails will be embedded with a dangerous link that when clicked, will prompt you to enter your precious eBay or Paypal details, thus putting you in a vulnerable spot for scammers to view your information!

Myspace: Who Is Watching The Detectives?

It’s well known that law enforcement, security researchers and groups that track down / remove pedophiles, trolls and crapflooders from Myspace spend a lot of time networking, watching profiles, tracking dubious individuals through their postings, friends lists and other things too numerous to mention.

It’s a tricky business, and can potentially place people like myself at great risk of being found out, exposed or run over the coals if one of these bad guys works out you’ve been trailing them for the past three months.

What happens, though, when the bad guys have a method to know exactly who is watching them? And what are the consequences?

Have you ever heard of Samy Kamkar? Well, he is the first person to do a large scale MySpace hacking. On January 2007, he confessed that he created what many people consider one the most sophisticated Web 2.0 worm. The worm is widely known as the “Samy Worm”. Even thought the worm wasn’t malicious it did cause a hell lot of trouble to MySpace. MySpace had to be shutdown in the late2005 after the Samy worm managed to swarm to over 1 millions users to declare Samy a “here” on each of their profile.

No that’s what I call wicked

Till now, Samy is not allowed to touch a computer but if he play his card right…he may be allowed to visit MySpace again. This time I hope he doesn’t do anything stupid :p

Day by day, I hear my friends complaining that their MySpace profiles has been hijacked. I’m sick of hearing it!

Since the first inception of the world wide web, online identity theft has been a major trouble and it is reaching catastrophic levels. Millions of people have been duped by online scammers and most of them don’t even realize that their identity has been stolen!

Phishing is a malicious act whereby links are created under the guise of reputable sites, and once clicked these links will glean crucial information from MySpace users. Take heed of warning signs that your account is being compromised and hopefully you can avoid being victims of such scams! For example, if you wake up and find countless messages from MySpace users complaining that you have been spamming them with nonsensical mails, then you are a victim of a phishing act. Check your “Bulletins I Posted” section and if you discover numerous messages that you never typed, then it is a definite sign that you have been phished!

MySpace Flaw Leaks Private Teen Photos

There is no doubt that MySpace dominates the social networking industry and there are also the most popular in the industry…..popular for the weakest security.

Recently, a backdoor exploit in MySpace allows anyone to have access of photos/pictures in profiles that are set to private. MySpace has been assuring it’s members that only those who are authorized are allowed to access the private photos but it seems that every time they close a backdoor, another one comes up. It has been going on for months (since last year).

The latest backdoor exploit news has been rapidly circulating on their message boards and a massive 17 GigaByte (GB) file that contains more than 500 thousand private images has been circulating in BitTorrent and Warez Forum…making this the biggest security breach ever!
