There have been reports by ComScore on MySpace falling short in demand to its rival Facebook, with the month of June being the best month for Facebook in terms of number of visitors. However MySpace declared its results for the month of July which showed for the first time 122 million visitors to its site breaking all records. But again ComScore has shown a footfall of 144 million for Facebook.
MySpace went on to declare that its Latin American audience had increased by 10% to a mark of 6.8 million and the European market touched the 30 million mark for the first time. MySpace’s international visitors have jumped from fifty three million to fifty five. In the US MySpace still has a large hold with an astounding seventy five million for the first time. Facebook according to ComScore has less than 40 million fan following.
MySpace has been trying to reinvent itself transforming into a music streaming services site and is ready to launch MySpace Music. This is one area where Facebook cannot beat MySpace.
