TechCruch has reported that MySpace is going to support the open id single sign-on framework. MySpace has over 200 million accounts and will be the second largest to implement the OpenID framework. Yahoo had announced the OpenID support early this year.
Two steps can be followed to use the OpenID framework. One is by being the party to issue it and have all the accounts to be made compatible for OpenID and the other method is to be the relying party that will permit its users to sign in the websites with certification from the issuing party. MySpace will belong to the former category of being the issuing party and later assimilate as the relying party.
