MySpace is Making a Movie!

In a statement released Tuesday, Coelho said he elected to create his video in the spirit of collaborative, user-generated content because he's been a fan of the site for the last three years. Starting June 16th, MySpace will begin accepting submissions from amateur auteurs worldwide, who create a short film or song based on a character from Portobello.

The social networking site is teaming up with Brazilian bestselling author Paulo Coelho, best known for his spiritual story The Alchemist, to create his first feature film based on his latest tome, The Witch of Portobello.
